How To Make Your Website Sticky
Posted by michael on October 28th, 2008Making your website ’sticky’ may not sound the most pleasant of things to do but if your site is ’sticky’ then you will benefit greatly from it. You see, making your site ’sticky’ simply means giving your visitors a reason to come back to your site again and again.
Some sites add arcade games to their sites to give people a reason to come back to their site in the future and on a regular basis. No I must stress that playing arcade games online is a great feature to have on your site and will get people to come back again and again BUT there are two drawbacks to using an arcade games feature.
1) Because lots of sites use an arcade games feature it means YOUR arcade will have to be really, really good to stand out from the others.
2) If people are coming to your site just to play onine games for free then these type of visitors may not be your ideal type of visitors (depending on your website).
If you have a website that sells arcade style games then yes, an arcade games feature will suit your site but it may not be best suited to a site that sells clothing, for example.
So you need to focus on what your site is all about and who your ideal visitors are and then place something in your site that will have them coming back time and time again.
Now, if you have a website that is related to Internet Marketing then you would need some kind of ‘tools’ which online marketers would want to or need to use. All online marketers need certain tools to help them with their online business. So we need to think what online marketers do a lot of….
As an online marketer myself then this is an easy question to answer. All internet marketers send emails on a very regular basis, either through an email broadcasting service to their email lists or via a Solo Email marketing service.
Now, as a marketer yourself, you probably know that is is important to format your emails so that each line of your emails are set to a certain length. The maximum length for each line is 65 characters which includes spaces. Personally I prefer to limit each line of my email to 55 characters.
OK, so the problem faced by online marketers whi send emails is that they need to make sure that each line of their emails do not exceed 65 characters. This means that we could offer them a free online tool that does this job for them. An online email formatter automatically formats their original email so that each line does not exceed a certain length.
Many online marketers will find this tool very useful indeed. All you need to do is add this tool to your website….
Don’t worry, this is easier to do than you think. In fact, if you can add just one line of HTML code to your website then you can add an email formatting tool to your site for online marketers to use.
It doesn’t get much easier than that does it
We have added an email formatter to a page on our site which you can check out right now. On that page you wil also see how you can add this tool to YOUR website using just one line of HTML code.
